FAITH LEADERS STEP FORWARD TO HONOR APOSTLE FRED PRICE - Mike Freeman, IV Hilliard, Kenneth Copeland
FATHER IN THE FAITH AND FOUNDING PASTOR Of THE CRENSHAW CHRISTIAN CENTER TRANSITIONS AT THE AGE OF 89
Soon after the announcement went out on Friday that the Apostle Frederick K.C. Price, founder of the Crenshaw Christian Center in greater Los Angeles, CA. had succumbed to Coronavirus, faith leaders from all over the world began posting their acknowledgements and appreciation for the life and legacy of one of the generals within the Body of Christ. The family and ministry released a statement late on Friday evening – “Our Husband, Father and your Apostle has gone to be with the Lord this evening,” the Price family wrote late on Friday.” The statement read.
“We accept his decision to go as he got a glimpse of glory a couple of weeks ago. But we are sad. Please allow us some time to process all of this. He fought the good fight of faith and laid hold of eternal life,” the statement added. (L-R) Dr. Fred Price, Dr. Betty Price, and Pastor Fred Price Jr.
“A general in the faith, a pioneer in the gospel, mentor, and spiritual father to Dee Dee and I, the Apostle Frederick K. C. Price has transitioned from this earthly life to be home with the Father. Words cannot express the lasting impact his life has had on all of us. Thank you for teaching us faith! We are praying for Mom, Dr. Betty Price, and the entire family for the days ahead.”

It is true that my Spiritual Father and Mentor, Apostle F.K.C. Price went to be with the Lord. For me and others it is a time of mixed emotions but no grief or sorrow for he taught us that Jesus already bore them. We do mourn but not as those who have no hope but choose to rejoice with his promotion and pray for the comforting ministry of the Holy Spirit for his beloved family, friends and partners. We are all the sum total of what others pour into our lives that we choose to incorporate in our lives. My family and I are blessed because he allowed us to sit in the front seat of his life for so many years and it was there I caught the spirit of faith, excellence and integrity that made me who I am. We who have been touched by his life and ministry are all guardians of his amazing legacy. There are certain dividends of the faith that we cannot receive on this side of the grave. Through our quiet moments of mourning and reflection we choose to rejoice that Apostle Price is receiving the dividends of the faith that he so graciously earned as he fulfilled his assignment to teach generations how to walk by faith and not by sight!!!

“My dear friend and mentor of over 35 years has gone on to be with the Lord. Fred, you were a beacon of light and truth in this world. Your integrity and commitment to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ were awe-inspiring and I will miss you. Rest well now, we know you’ve gone on to be with God and one-day we’ll meet again.”

” Today we celebrate the life and legacy of a “real” general and trailblazer in the Christian faith. I watched Dr. Fred Price as a teenager early on Sunday mornings before I left home to go to Sunday School. I told my uncle “one day I will have a church like Fred Price.” He responded “boy there’s only one Fred Price” which indeed is true. I took my girlfriend (now wife) Marcia and her best friend Lillian to his crusade at the Nassau Colliseum on Long Island, NY where she got filled with the Holy Spirit. His book “Faith, Foolishness & Presumption” helped me make decision s in line with The Word. Perhaps what I will most remember about him is that after he was scheduled to minister for her @therdci a few years ago, he had to cancel due to a health crisis. I have had other preachers and artists cancel for one reason or another but he is the only one who ever had the wherewithal to personally pick up the phone to tell me himself and “asked” me to release him because in 40 years of ministry he had never cancelled an engagement. I am who I am, believe what I believe and teach what I teach in great part because of the life, legacy, teaching and example of General Dr. Frederick K.C. Price. General, I salute you. Until the family reunion. “Rest in peace and power” as we continue to “walk by faith, not by sight” to produce “evidence” in our lives.”

“From Brother Copeland: Fred Price’s daughter, Angie, sent me a message last night saying “He’s gone”.
I replied “No. He just moved.” The wonderful Apostle of God is looking his precious Savior face to face. He’s there with his spiritual fathers, Kenneth and Oretha Hagin, Oral and Evelyn Roberts and list goes on and on. Your dad will probably say “What about F. F. Bosworth and EW Kenyon? Then a man will walk up and say, “You actually know me Brother Fred, but we’ve never met. I’m the one who wrote Faith comes by hearing and hearing by The Word of God!” Then sometime soon, he’ll meet his real Spiritual Father, Abraham. Gloria and I will certainly miss him. Our love to Betty, the entire Price family and Crenshaw Christian Center.”

Thank you sir for a life well-lived and for setting the bar high enough to pull so many of us up. Against incredible odds, you taught the message of faith that was passed down through many others and personally brought a miracle to my family. We will continue to run this race and carry on your legacy. So fitting that you would leave here during Black History Month – because you showed us that it was possible for a black pastor to be EXCELLENT, ARTICULATE, and on television in a positive light every single week. We love you. We salute you. REST WELL!!! “For we walk by faith, not by sight!”

My Brother, the Apostle, will always be proud my hero. I’m so very of him and all his accomplishments. My Brother was the one who took this girl to the hospital in the midst of committing suicide. He cared and nurse me back to life. I love him and he loved me . My heart is so very full. He told me that he was proud of me. This photo was taken on the day I officiated our Mothers memorial service.
PS I will see you later and kiss Mom for me.
Your lil Sis !
“Apostle Frederick K.C. Price is the founder of Crenshaw Christian Center (CCC) in Los Angeles, California. He began CCC in 1973 and shepherded it into a ministry of world renown, with services held in the 10,000-seat FaithDome.
In 1978, Apostle Price received instruction from God to begin a television broadcast and, as a result, Ever Increasing Faith Ministries (EIFM) began broadcasting in five major television markets. Thus, the television broadcast soon after became global.
EIFM can be viewed on many television stations in all 50 states and in many foreign countries. Apostle Price is also heard on numerous radio programs and 19 Internet broadcast stations. Additionally, he can be seen on most social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and others. In 1990, Apostle Price founded the Fellowship of Inner-City Word of Faith Ministries (FICWFM), which later became the Fellowship of International Christian Word of Faith Ministries before disbanding in 2017. And in 2001, he established an East Coast church, Crenshaw Christian Center East.
A visionary and prolific author, Apostle Price is the author of some 50 books on faith, healing, prosperity, and the Holy Spirit. How Faith Works is a classic on the operation of faith and its life-changing principles. Although he had already operated in the fivefold ministry gift of apostle, in 2008 Apostle Price was publicly affirmed as an apostle of faith. Under the mantle of the teaching gift, Apostle Price established several schools for ministry and formal education at CCC. Among them are Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools (preschool to 12th grade); the Ministry Training Institute in 1985; a CCC Correspondence School; the Frederick K.C. Price School of the Bible; and in 2008, the Apostle Price Ministry Training Center. Over the years, Apostle Price has received many prestigious awards, most notably the Horatio Alger Award and the Kelly Miller Smith Interfaith Award.
A year after his affirmation and after more than 35 years of service, Apostle Price stepped aside as pastor to formally install his son, Frederick K. Price Jr., as his successor. For years he served as the presiding prelate of both CCC West and CCC East and as the chairman of CCC’s board of directors. Having retired from his position as pastor and all other official duties, he restricts much of his travel.
A devout husband, Apostle Price has been married to Dr. Betty Price for 67 years. They are the proud parents of four children, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
